How It All Began

In 1995, Blackheath organisers (Frank Hipkin, John Owen & Tony Davis) became frustrated with the hassles of motocross. They experienced problems such as cancelled events through dust and rain etc and decided to set up their own events, similar to the style of the events of early 60’s in USA .

They decided to approach Don Green of the AMCA with a proposal to put on their own events, now known as Moto-Duro. This was accepted and has gone from strength to strength ever since.

A handful of members decided to make the move with the club who are now the club organisers and riders and are putting on more events this year 2008.

Black Heath Auto Sports are also introducing a new transponder system to log rider’s laps & times we know transponders are not new to some riders but for others it is.

This will make lap scoring much simpler & quicker for results which will be posted to the web site on the next day
